to Southwestern Pennsylvania Band
Partners
We are a group of people who want to promote community music in the
Southwestern region of Pennsylvania (Armstrong, Allegheny, Butler,
Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Lawrence,
Indiana, Washington, Westmoreland Counties). We
wish to be
a resource for the bands,
musicians, and the general public alike. |

| SWPABP
was created in 2005 to bring Community Bands together in the
southwestern PA region. This was done through a quarterly
newsletter published on this website, a combined concert calendar, a
mailing list, and a band directory. In 2010 the founders left
the region and at the end of the year stopped producing the quarterly
newsletter as there was no one wishing to take over writing it.
The archives are still found under thenewsletter
link and
should still be useful for most community bands and musicians.
The combined
calendar and
mailing list are still maintained and other content is updated as it
becomes relelvant. Subscribers to the mailinlist recieve and
email at the end of the month announcing the concerts for the next
month - the message will also include any other announcements at that
time. |
